firing space & rentals

We are happy to offer this service to the community as many people would love to work in clay but have the limitation of not being able to fire their work.  That being said it is a somewhat difficult service to manage and there are some policies in place to help it run smoothly and to help us maintain the integrity of our kilns.  The studios run two electric Skutt kilns, a large one and a small one.  Our volume of firing is not so high so turn around times can be up to two weeks.

Ready to fire your work?  Follow the steps below!

1. ) Submit the form below with information about your work, and calculate your price with the schedule below.  

2.) You will be contacted about drop-off time and payment method.  

3.) Payment is collected prior to firing and is non-refundable.  Ocotillo Studios is not responsible for any damaged work or glaze defects.  

3. ) Work will be fired within 2 weeks of drop off.  If you are renting an entire kiln this will be done within 1 week of drop off.  

4.) If renting space in the kiln, bisque firings are to Cone 04, and glaze firings are to Cone 6.  If renting the entire kiln you may fire at any temperature up to Cone 6 but must provide information on glazes and clay bodies.
